Photo of Zoe and Lenny Kravitz

Lenny Kravitz took his daughter Zoe to the Oscars and she looked lovely. Zoe wore a column gown by Alexis Mabille which featured a burgundy velvet strapless top and a puddle train. Zoe accessorized the look with a 1920's Diamond Square-Link Bracelet, a 1920's Diamond and Cognac Diamond Bracelet, 1930's 3 1/2 carats Old-Mine Cut Diamond Drop Earrings, a Diamond Paisley Ring, thee Stacked Diamond Rings and a 19th Century Diamond Wing Brooch worn in her hair -- all by Fred Leighton.

Lenny looked handsome -- he is a member of the Handsome Men's Club, after all -- but we really wish he would ditch the beard. This beard trend is driving us crazy. Sam Worthington also refused to shave for the Oscars and the trend is spreading rapidly, like a virus. It's all Brad Pitt's fault. Lenny wore a single breasted black tuxedo with peaked lapels and a traditional black bow tie.

French shoppers waited outside for hours for the opening of an H&M store in Toulouse, France. The shoppers were waiting to buy the limited edition Sonia Rykiel for H&M collection. The result was a mad house with women fighting over garments, clothing racks wobbling and people getting squished. This does not look like a pleasant shopping experience. Take a look:

Academy Defends Farrah Fawcett Omission

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences did not forget to mention Farrah Fawcett during the "In Memoriam" segment at the Oscars Sunday night. The Academy says Farrah Fawcett is best known for her "remarkable television work" and that it is impossible to mention everybody. However, many in the film industry felt she deserved a mention.

Roger Ebert called the miss a major fail. Ryan O'Neal said, "It was a terrible decision and very hurtful. Farrah was a member of the Academy for over 40 years and we could not believe she did not get a mention."

Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences executive director Bruce Davis said he wasn't surprised that friends and family members are upset. The BBC quotes Davis as saying, "There's nothing you can say to people, particularly to family members, within a day or two of the show that helps at all."

Lindsay Lohan is out at Ungaro. When she was a no-show at the Ungaro show in Paris it appeared that it was over for Lindsay and Ungaro. Lindsay's ouster was confirmed when Ungaro owner Asim Abdullah told WWD, "She's not involved in this collection."

Vogue reports that Lindsay has also confirmed her departure from the line. Lindsay, who is in Paris for Fashion Week, says she does not work for Ungaro anymore.
Lohan sat in the front row at Kenzo later in the day and, when asked why she hadn't been at the Ungaro show, stated simply. "Because I don't work for them anymore. There's legal things going on; I can't really discuss it."

Lindsay's Spring 2010 Ungaro collection received lots of bad reviews. You can read our review of Lindsay's first and only collection for Ungaro here. Lindsay Lohan still has her popular leggings line which could expand beyond leggings.

Kathryn Bigelow Holds Oscars

The Hurt Locker director Kathryn Bigelow became the first women to win a Best Director Oscar when she won the Academy Award Sunday night. She is also holding a Best Picture Oscar in the photograph above. It has taken an extraordinarily long time for a woman to win on Oscar in the Best Picture category. The award was presented by Barbra Streisand. We saw The Hurt Locker. It is an excellent and entertaining movie. Kathryn Bigelow definitely deserved the win. During her acceptance speech Kathryn dedicated the Oscar to the troops. She said, "I'd just like to dedicate this to the women and men in the military who risk their lives on a daily basis in Iraq and Afghanistan and around the world. And may they come home safe."

Kathryn Bigelow talked to E News very briefly after the Oscars at the Governors Ball. Take a look:
